Drug Abuse: Parents Get Help

Who would have thought the day would come when parents would feel the need to hire police dogs to see if their kids have drugs? It seems far-fetched, but it is happening and the reasons are easily understood, especially as the world watches the memorial of Michael Jackson.  We have already lost too many.

A new device from Philips hopes to help parents detect drug abuse in their children.  The device is intended for roadside use by law enforcement agencies and includes a disposable plastic cartridge and a handheld analyzer. Later versions will allow anyone who suspects a loved one of drug abuse to find out the truth.
